Privacy Policy
Lab Manufacturers China collects only the data needed to answer quotation and support requests: name, company, email, phone, country and message. We use cookie-less analytics, do not sell personal data, keep it only as long as needed and respect your rights of access, correction and deletion. This draft requires legal review.
Who is responsible for your data?
The data controller for this website is Lab Manufacturers China, owner: Lab Manufacturers China, address: Guangzhou, China. You can contact us about privacy at sales@labmanufacturerschina.com or by +86 135 9999 9999.
This policy explains what personal data we collect through the website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have. It applies to visitors, people who submit a quote form and people who correspond with us by email or messaging. This policy is a draft and requires review by qualified legal counsel before publication.
What data do we collect?
We collect data in three ways.
- Data you provide: when you submit a quote form or write to us, we receive your name, company, email address, phone number, country and the content of your message, including the products and quantities you ask about. Please do not include sensitive personal data.
- Data collected automatically: our web server records technical information such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and time of request, for security and operation.
- Aggregate analytics: we use Plausible, a cookie-less analytics service, to count visits and see which pages are read. It does not set cookies or store a persistent identifier on your device, and it does not build a profile of you across sites.
We do not knowingly collect data from children, and the site is intended for business users.
Why do we use your data, and on what legal basis?
We use personal data for the following purposes.
- To respond to your quotation, technical or after-sales request and to prepare offers and contracts. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, or performing a contract.
- To manage our business relationship, including order processing, shipping and invoicing. The legal basis is contract performance and legal obligations such as tax and export records.
- To keep the website secure and understand how it is used in aggregate. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a safe and useful site.
- To send you information you have asked for. Where we would like to send marketing messages, we will ask for your consent, and you may withdraw it at any time.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making that has legal effects on you, and we do not sell personal data.
Who do we share data with, and is it transferred abroad?
We share personal data only where needed and under appropriate safeguards.
- Service providers that host the website, deliver email, store quotation records or provide our analytics, bound by contracts that require confidentiality and security.
- Logistics, customs and payment partners, when needed to fulfill an order.
- Professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, and authorities where we are legally required to disclose.
- A successor business, if our business is reorganized or sold, subject to this policy.
We are based in China, and our customers are worldwide, so your data will usually be transferred across borders. Where the law of your country requires it, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or your consent for the transfer. Details of the current providers and safeguards will be provided on request.
How long do we keep data, and how is it protected?
We keep quotation enquiries and related correspondence for as long as needed to respond and to manage the commercial relationship, and normally for no more than three years after the last contact unless a contract or legal duty requires a longer period. Order, invoice and export records are kept for the period required by tax, customs and accounting law. Server logs are kept for a short period, normally up to 90 days. Retention periods are subject to legal review.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls limited to staff who need the data, and regular backups. No system is fully secure, so please tell us promptly at sales@labmanufacturerschina.com if you suspect a problem. We will notify affected persons and authorities where the law requires.
What rights do you have?
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to certain processing, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise a right, write to sales@labmanufacturerschina.com from the address you used with us, and we may ask you to verify your identity. We aim to respond within one month. Further information for residents of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom is on our GDPR page, and information about cookies and similar technology is on our cookie policy.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date of the latest version will be shown on this page, and material changes will be highlighted. This policy is a draft and requires review by qualified legal counsel before publication.
